Hello,

I followed the howto page on setting up my linux box to detect it's ip address...but my linux box just doesn't detect it's ip address. Does anyone else know any other ways to get it going with DHCP?

I'm running RedHat 9

Thanks

Are you sure the network interface is working correctly, assign it a local address and test that it works fine to eliminate this as a problem.

Also as a test you can use PUMP to see if it works, PUMP is a very cut down DHCP client that comes with Red Hat, just type man pump and read about the features and commands.

If I can think of anything else I will post it ASAP, good luck :)
