hi!
i have a portable pc where i've installed suse 9.1 to try linux. the problem is i'm a real noob :D and my monitor is streched to fit the available resolution. how can i change this? are there any drivers available? where can i find them?

What desktop environment are you running? (Gnome, KDE etc)

You will need to edit the config and make sure that there is a screen resolution to support your PC's mode.

I am sure a google search will provide plenty of results as wide screens are quite popular.

I haven't installed Linux on my current laptop (which has a 15.4" wide screen), I might do so and give it a go to see what options you need to try.
