when i try to run ./configure as a normal user... i get the error below...

-bash: ./configure: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: Permission denied

when i attempt to run it as root, no issues at all, msec is set to 1 (this was causing ssh problems)

now i can't bloody compile anything as a normal user and i really need to, can any offer any suggestions?

Have you changed any user permissions recently ?

Make sure your user account has access to /bin/sh and other shells as a first, maybe something is borked ?
