Post subject:  OpenBSD to Debian with optusnet

I was wondering if anyone has done a debian install with optus if they have, was it troublesome?
Do you have any tips of suggestions.

I currently run a openbsd firewall and the setup was a absolute breeze, to get nat working i just edited one line and the firewall rules were very simple.

But i want to move to linux to give it a go, also i don't seem to be able to do some things that i want to be able to do.
( If anyone has any tips on how to do the stuff below on openbsd or *nix that would be great too! )

I would like guides to setting up the firewall.
Getting NAT and dhcp working.
I want to be able to use direct connect in active mode, so directions to do that as well. (same idea as using ftp in active instead of passive i believe)
I want to be able to get games working though the firewall as well.

Also help setting up games servers internally, would help as i have lan's regularly at my place ( quake, counter strike etc...., and neverwinter nights soon............ )

This may seem like heaps, so a link to a already written guide would do just fine.

Thanks.

I have no experience with Debian...Giving it a shot soon though but can't help you right now. Goto www.debian.org they have installation manuals there.

RE: the game servers any gaming site should have instructions on how to setup their linux server. Just poke around CS.net, NWN homepage etc. All the instructions are there.

mmmmmm...NWN at a LAN...
