I am about to begin the major project for my uni degree.
And i have chosen to build a linux or bsd supercomputer / cluster computer with a group.

Each of us has been given the task of picking our own projects that we would like to work on.

I am having a little trouble picking a topic.

I am want to say in the area of networks and security as that is what i would like to get into.
But the only thing that i can think of is password cracking.

It's all well and good, but i really don't see the "wow" factor that i have to be able to present to industry professionals at the presentation at the end of 18 months.

And when i go to my job interview it really doesn't shine.
I was wondering if anyone could help me....give me some more suggestions?

Thanks.

Hey ::StatiC::

I don't know if this would be of any interest to you for your Uni Project but it's worth asking. I am considering starting a game-server hosting company from scratch and could use the help of somebody like yourself. Like i said i don't know wether this would be the kind of thing that would interest you, but if it does then let me know and we could maybe discuss it a little further.

Kind Regards

Rizla^

Well as you can see from the date of the post, the project is well gone and past and completed.

The clustering that i did was using linux based systems.
So let take america's army as an example.
The only way i could think of you doing it would be to use openmosix and also find out if the game uses threads.
But you will have to spend a fair bit of time reading up on the subjects

Good Luck
