Hello,

Ok, I'm conisidering starting a game hosting company but I don't think I know enough about it all to start it just yet. So i've decided to come and do a bit of homework before i risk any money on the project. Firstly I am a complete noob with Linux and on reading up on the subject i'm lost on which 'distro' i should go with for the game servers to run off. I'm also at a loss at which type of server would be best suited for the boxes, hardware-wise. Making a website for the hosting company would not be a problem, the only sticking points with that would be a stop/start interface for customers to use for their rented game servers and a decent payment system. So i here i am, cap in hand, hoping somebody more intellectual than I can guide me in the right direction and hopefully make my vision turn into something.

Should I read up and work hard to try to make this thing work, or give up and don't bother?

Any feedback would be greatly recieved.

Kind Regards

Rizla^
